How To Stay Awake During Classes

Do you ever slept during the lessons? I am sure everybody at less have one before! During the lesson, sleeping or yawning at classes is the most common problem facing by students. Most of the students will easily lost their concentration in many reason such as tiring, lack of understanding to the topic and the classes is too bored. Hence, there are many ways to help you stay awake during classes.

First of all, before you attending the class, prepare yourself for the lessons. Read up the lesson ahead so you roughly know what the lesson is all about and check out vocabulary of difficult words. Besides that, you must eat proper healthy food. Avoid oily and over intake of food such as nasi lemak, mee goreng and fast food because it will causes you o become sleepy and tired. Before the classes, you should also take supplement such as vitamins, essence of chicken and fresh fruit juice that can help you to be mentally alert.

Furthermore, during the lessons, sitting position is very important as it help you to stay alert. Sit right in front of the class is good because the lectures are clearer and you can concentrate better. Thus, the lecturers also can hear and understand you better when you ask questions. Other than that, take note during classes also help you to stay awake. This is because when you wan to jot down any notes, you must pay fully attention on what the lecturers are trying to say. Thus, there is not time to fall asleep. During classes, you should give response to lecturers while teaching. When the lecturers asking questions, try to answer back without worrying whether your answer is correct or wrong. In this case, you will not start to yawn and easily feel bored then sleepy.


Moreover, after the classes, you should take a break and go for an exercise. Exercises such as walking, jogging, playing badminton and swimming help you to refresh your brain. But try not over exercise because it will cause you become more sleepy and tiring. Besides that, take a nap also help you to reduce tiredness and relax our body. Avoiding late nights and have enough of sleep at least six to eight hours a day. Many students fall asleep during classes because they sacrificed their bedtime to do other things such as playing online games, chatting with friends, watching movies and many more.

Conclusion, stay awake during classes is very important because this is the moment you learn new things and is also a preparation for your final exam. Hence, in order to stay awake during classes, you must prepare yourself in a good condition no matter is before, during or after the lessons so that you wouldn't miss out what the lecturers is talking about.

Thank you for the essay. Steps are really clear and well-developed ^^

The thesis statement is good but the second topic sentence is not really suitable because you stated sitting position as the main idea of the paragraph but in the paragraph, the idea is about writing down notes and responding to teacher's questions. I feel the better topic sentence would be in class, we should be fully involved or we should watch what we do.

There are a few grammar rules that you should remember while writing ya ^^ for instance after, do, modal verbs such as, will, may, might, should, could, must, can, ought to, have better, the next verb must be in the base form, without ing, ed, s.

Continue to control your grammar while writing ya ^^
